Cross Laminated Timbers In Building - Crawford Murphy, architect and developer, Asheville, NC, will discuss plans for a 7-story timber structure in North Carolina AND for a CLT manufacturing plant in the central Appalachian region.

Trump & Trade: Impacts On The Hardwood Industry - Dana Lee Cole, Executive Director of the Hardwood Federation, will discuss the new administration and trade issues.

SFI Attention On Solid Wood - Jason Metnick, Senior VP of Consumer Affairs, Sustainable Foresty Initiative, will explain SFIís acceptance in LEED building and plans to promote solid wood.

AHMI Research Project Update - Tom Inman will discuss the latest on the Appalachian Hardwood research with the regionís top universities.

AHMI Annual Meeting & Member Anniversaries - Chairman Mike Hoover of Neff Lumber Mills will present the State of the Association and recognize anniversaries.

Producer and Distributor Divisions Meetings - Separate sessions for these two AHMI members groups to discuss issues of importance to their sector.

The Meeting offers time for networking with members and guests at receptions, sporting events and dinners.  Please see the agenda for specifics and brochures on all of the unique opportunities at the Diplomat Resort. We have planned fun at Gulfstream Park for horse racing, exclusive shops and casino fun OR time at the beach!

2017 Summer Conference - Inn on Biltmore Estate, Asheville, NC

Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, Inc. will hold its 2017 Summer Conference in Asheville, NC at the Inn on Biltmore Estate on July 23-25. Set in George Vanderbilt's 19th-century manor house in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this upscale hotel is on the Biltmore Estate with refined rooms and deluxe furnishings. Upgraded rooms have balconies or terraces, while suites add living and dining areas, and kitchenettes. Amenities include a gourmet restaurant, a bar and a library lounge serving light fare. There's also a spa, seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub, plus a fitness room and bikes for hire.

2018 Annual Meeting - JW Marriott, Marco Island, FL

Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, Inc. will hold its 2018 Annual Meeting in Marco Island, FL, at the JW Marriott on Jan. 17-20, 2018. This is a month earlier than traditional years but provided AHMI members with a mid-winter retreat to south Florida.
